About Us

Antrim and Randalstown Schools; Moving Forward Together Partnership (MFT) is a multi-sector collaborative education partnership consisting of 20 nursery, primary, special and post-primary schools; Rathmore Education Guidance Centre and CRIS – Community Relations In Schools. The partnership also works with numerous Statutory and Community Stakeholders including Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Education Authority, NHSCT, The Empower Project, Parenting NI and BEAM Creative. Collectively, schools within the partnership care for and educate over 6000 pupils with the support and dedication of over 600 staff.

MFT was formed in 2014 as a voluntary, collaborative movement that leverages and utilises the collective energy and resources of all partner members to achieve its mission of “promoting good relations between children, young people, staff and the wider community in the Antrim and Randalstown Area. The partnership is formalised by a Memorandum of Understanding and Financial and Administrative Policies. MFT is also structured with a Partnership Group consisting of Senior Leaders from all member schools; an elected Chair, Vice-chair and Treasurer; a steering group and a freelance coordinator and administrator.

In addition to promoting and championing inter-school good relations, the partnership also enables multiple staff and pupil initiatives including: Shared Education; PEACE families projects; autism and special needs training and programmes; Middle Leadership Training Programmes; Shared Learning Networks focussing on Early Years, Literacy, Numeracy and Special Educational Needs; Peer Mediation; Shared Choir and Digital Arts.
